Raw Milk Backers Lack Standing To Fight Sales Ban: Judge

Law360, New York (April 2, 2012, 3:15 PM EDT) -- An Iowa federal judge on Monday dismissed a suit claiming a federal ban on interstate raw milk sales violated privacy rights, after finding individual advocates lacked standing to sue because the U.S. government had made it clear the ban wouldn't be enforced against them.

Judge Mark W. Bennett entered a judgment Monday against family farm and consumer advocate Farm-to-Consumer Legal Defense Fund, as well as its individual members, after ruling Friday that the suit should be dismissed for lack of standing.
