House Dems Call Chinese Trade 'Key Test' For New Agency

Law360, New York (April 2, 2012, 9:11 PM EDT) -- Predatory trade practices from China remain a persistent problem, and Chinese trade barriers will be a “key test” for the recently launched Interagency Trade Enforcement Center, nine Democratic members of the House Ways and Means Committee said Monday in a letter to President Barack Obama.

The Obama administration has taken commendable steps forward on the trade enforcement front, including the February executive order greenlighting the creation of ITEC within the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative, the letter said.
