Barr Drops Suit Vs. FDA Over Allegra Marketing Exclusivity

Law360, New York (April 12, 2005, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Generic drug maker Barr Pharmaceuticals Inc. has dropped a lawsuit against the U.S. Food and Drug Administration over exclusive marketing rights to a generic version of Sanofi-Aventis’ allergy treatment Allegra.

In February, Barr sued the FDA in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia to challenge its decision to make the company share its 180-day marketing exclusivity.
