Sunshine Act Authors Pressure CMS For Final Rule By June

Law360, New York (April 5, 2012, 7:07 PM EDT) -- Two senators who wrote legislation calling for a “sunshine” rule that would require drug and device companies to disclose payments made to doctors urged the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services on Wednesday to finalize the already overdue rule by June.

Sens. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, and Herb Kohl, D-Wis., sent a letter to the CMS asking that the agency issue a final rule on the Physician Payment Sunshine Act in the next three months.
