China Announces New 650-MW Reactor At Qinshan Site

Law360, New York (April 9, 2012, 2:18 PM EDT) -- A state-financed Chinese nuclear power project in the city of Qinshan has added a new 650-megawatt reactor, the seventh nuclear power generator at the plant, the developer of the project said Sunday.

China National Nuclear Corp., the largest state-owned enterprise under the direct control of the Chinese central government, said it had completed an expansion project at the Qinshan site that included the new reactor.
