HHS Plugs 10-Digit Health Plan ID In Streamlining Move

Law360, New York (April 9, 2012, 7:15 PM EDT) -- Under a proposed rule released Monday, every health plan and third-party administrator in the U.S. would be identified in electronic transactions by a unique, standardized number, a move federal regulators say would save the health care industry up to $4.6 billion over the next decade.
