Title Insurers, Stewart Wrap Up Wind Farm Policy Fight

Law360, New York (April 9, 2012, 6:11 PM EDT) -- A pair of land title insurers said Friday they had settled claims that Stewart Title Insurance Co. stole a prospective client by offering an illegally low rate on a $244 million policy to insure land leases for wind turbine construction.

First American Title Co. of Montana Inc. and Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Co. resolved tortious interference claims against Stewart, according to a notice in Montana federal court.
