Inspector General Raps FDIC Over Conference Spending

Law360, New York (April 11, 2012, 6:34 PM EDT) -- The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.'s internal watchdog said the agency should work to reduce its overall spending on conferences, picking out around $11,000 in improper food and entertainment expenses over a one-year period in a report released Wednesday.

In the report originally drafted in March, FDIC Inspector General Jon T. Rymer said that overall the agency had done a good job in keeping its costs for food, entertainment and other conference expenditures within its own guidelines.
