USPTO Head Says China Making Strides In IP Enforcement

Law360, New York (April 11, 2012, 9:02 PM EDT) -- China is a challenging environment for intellectual property enforcement, but the Chinese government has made substantial progress in improving it and is working closely with American officials to do more, U.S. Patent and Trademark Office Director David Kappos said Wednesday.

At a conference on intellectual property enforcement in China at Fordham Law School in New York, Kappos outlined numerous fronts on which the U.S. and China are working together to bolster enforcement, including a productive collaboration between the USPTO and China's State Intellectual Property Office....
