Ex-Im Bank Grants $80M Loan For Indian Solar Project

Law360, New York (April 13, 2012, 5:37 PM EDT) -- The Export-Import Bank of the U.S. has approved an $80.3 million loan to a unit of Reliance Power Ltd., India's largest private energy company, so that it can purchase U.S. services and equipment for one of its solar power projects, the bank announced Friday.

The loan will be primarily used to contract a subsidiary of California's Areva Solar Inc. to build a 250-megawatt solar power complex in India's Rajasthan region. Terms of the loan were not disclosed, and a representative for the bank was not immediately...
