AstraZeneca Wants 11 Seroquel Cases Axed

Law360, New York (August 21, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- AstraZeneca LP has asked the Florida court overseeing multidistrict products liability litigation against the drug company over its bipolar disorder treatment Seroquel to toss out 11 cases for failure to comply with a court order, arguing that the plaintiffs have missed their last chance to participate in the MDL by not filing plaintiff fact sheets.

AstraZeneca filed its motion Monday, in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, asking to have the cases of 11 plaintiffs dismissed with prejudice.
