Law360, New York (April 13, 2012, 7:45 PM EDT) -- Retailers and consumer product makers including Kmart Corp. and The Coca-Cola Co. sued a handful of shipping companies in South Carolina federal court Thursday over a conspiracy to fix shipping prices to Puerto Rico that's seen multiple shipping executives convicted of criminal antitrust charges.
The U.S. Department of Justice has said shipping companies that take goods from the U.S. mainland to Puerto Rico engaged in one of the largest domestic price-fixing conspiracies in history between 2002 and 2008.
