Dewey Loses 8 To Hunton & Williams, Pillsbury

Law360, New York (April 17, 2012, 5:37 PM EDT) -- Eight more partners left Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP on Tuesday, with six headed for Hunton & Williams LLP and two leaving for Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP, bringing the total number of Dewey partner departures in 2012 to at least 64.

The firms announced the additions to their New York offices a day after reports that nine more Dewey partners defected.

In a statement, Dewey said the growing number of partners leaving the firm was expected as part its "new direction," which it said is supported by an overwhelming majority of its 300 partners....
