House Dems Push Holder On Oil Speculation Probe

Law360, Wilmington (April 19, 2012, 8:08 PM EDT) -- Dozens of congressional Democrats urged Attorney General Eric Holder on Thursday to ramp up the U.S. Department of Justice's probe of oil market speculation, backing President Barack Obama’s latest move in the election season tug-of-war over high gas prices.

Two days after Obama announced a multiagency inquiry into possible connections between illegal speculation and gas price increases, Rep. Chris Van Hollen, D-Md., and 41 other Democrats sent a letter to the attorney general pushing for immediate action from the Oil and Gas Price Fraud Working Group....
