Officials Urge 11th Circ. Rehearing In Union Bribery Case

Law360, New York (April 19, 2012, 8:32 PM EDT) -- An Eleventh Circuit decision reviving a lawsuit over an allegedly illegal agreement between dog track operator Mardi Gras Gaming and a union was erroneous and threatens to encroach on the National Labor Relations Board's jurisdiction, Obama administration officials told the appeals court last week.

NLRB Acting General Counsel Lafe Solomon, Solicitor of Labor M. Patricia Smith, Assistant Attorney General Lanny Breuer and others filed an April 12 amicus brief urging the Eleventh Circuit to grant an en banc rehearing.
