Law360, New York (May 9, 2012, 1:01 PM EDT) -- On March 26, the U.S. Supreme Court remanded the Myriad Genetics Inc. gene patenting case to the Federal Circuit for reconsideration in light of the Supreme Court’s unanimous decision in Mayo Collaborative Services v. Prometheus Laboratories, in which the court held that two patents on a method to titrate thiopurine drugs are invalid insofar as they cover unpatentable subject matter.
