Circuit Court Dismisses Old National BanCorp Charges

Law360 (August 24, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- An appeals court on Thursday dismissed a proposed class action brought against Old Nation BanCorp alleging the company was negligent and breached a contract by failing to prevent a sophisticated hacker from accessing customers' confidential information from the bank's Web site.

A three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit upheld a district court's denial of class certification and granting of judgment for ONB under Rule 12(c) of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
