Japan, China, Korea Patent Offices To Expand Information Sharing

Law360, New York (November 14, 2003, 12:00 AM EST) -- Japan, China and South Korea agreed on Friday to jointly study a system for sharing information on patent applications in the three countries, Jiji Press reported.

The three countries also agreed to exchange patent documents electronically and jointly develop technical patent dictionaries.

The agreement was signed by Yasuo Imai, commissioner of the Japan Patent Office, Wang Jingchuan, director of China's State Intellectual Property Affairs Bureau, and Leem Laegue, commissioner of the Korean Intellectual Property Office.
