Ametek Takes German Blower Maker Off Triton's Hands

Law360, New York (April 26, 2012, 4:05 PM EDT) -- Pennsylvania-based Ametek Inc., which produces electronic instruments and electromechanical devices with wide-ranging industrial applications, has inked a deal to buy a German motion control product maker from European private equity outfit Triton, Ametek announced Thursday.

Under the agreement, Ametek said, it will get Dunkermotoren GmbH, which is expected to do about €155 million ($205 million) in sales this year.

The acquisition gives Ametek control of the German company's Bonndorf headquarters and U.S. subsidiary, Dunkermotoren USA Inc., as well as Dunkermotoren's manufacturing facilities in China and Serbia,...
