Jury Finds Ford At Fault For Crash Caused By Bad Tire

Law360, New York (April 26, 2012, 8:17 PM EDT) -- A Montana jury found against Ford Motor Co. on Wednesday, holding that a tire sold by the carmaker was defective and served as a major factor in an accident that left a man paralyzed and permanently cognitively impaired.

A guardian for Bryan Mizenko sued Ford in August 2006, claiming the tread on a Firestone tire had failed and caused Mizenko's 1989 Ford Bronco to veer off the road and roll over. Ford had equipped the vehicle with the tire, according to the complaint.
