Rep. Asks Feds to Probe Accretive Over Billing Tactics

Law360, Washington (April 26, 2012, 8:28 PM EDT) -- A California congressman on Thursday urged the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to open an investigation into allegedly abusive and illegal health care billing and debt collection practices at Accretive Health Inc., saying the company could be violating federal privacy laws.
