Intrepid Gets Nod For New $230M Potash Mine In NM

Law360, New York (April 26, 2012, 10:21 PM EDT) -- Intrepid Potash Inc. has received approval from the federal Bureau of Land Management for its roughly $230 million solar solution mine in New Mexico to extract potash used in agriculture and food production, the potash producer said Thursday.

The HB Solar Solution project, which Intrepid has already invested $35.3 million, will require a total investment of between $200 million to $230 million, with the first production expected to start in late 2013, with annual production from the mine expected to be between 150,000 to 200,000 tons...
