China Cord Blood Closes $65M Debt Financing With KKR

Law360, New York (April 27, 2012, 6:52 PM EDT) -- China Cord Blood Corp., the largest cord blood bank in China, has successfully closed a $65 million convertible debt financing with a China-focused investment fund managed by private equity giant KKR & Co. LP, the company said Friday.

The financing, first announced on April 12, is being provided by KKR China Growth Fund LP. The unsecured convertible notes will have an annual interest rate of 7 percent and a total internal rate of return of 12 percent including interest, China Cord said.
