Army Will Clean Up Md. Superfund Site

Law360, New York (August 28, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of the Army must clean up 14 hazardous waste sites located at Fort George G. Meade, the Anne Arundel County, Md. army base that was designated a Superfund site in 1998, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency ordered Monday.

The sites in question are part of the Patuxent Research Refuge, and were under the stewardship of the U.S. Department of the Interior before they were transferred to the Army, according to an EPA press release.
