US Adds Ukraine To IP Watch List, Drops 2 Others

Law360, New York (April 30, 2012, 7:08 PM EDT) -- The office of the U.S. Trade Representative praised Spain and Malaysia on Monday for taking steps to ramp up protection for intellectual property, but added Ukraine to a list of countries being monitored by the federal government for weak IP enforcement.

The USTR's annual Special 301 report outlining the state of IP protection among U.S. trading partners includes 13 countries on the "priority watch list" for what the USTR said were serious problems with insufficient IP protection as well as 27 countries on the "watch list"...
