EU Reaches Compromise On Imported Light Bulbs

Law360, New York (August 29, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The European Commission agreed in a compromise on Wednesday not to lift duties on energy-saving light bulbs imported from China until next year after the issue caused a rift among commissioners.

The commission will recommend that the European Union lift the duties — which in some cases are as high as 66 percent — one year from now.
