Babcock Gets Go-Ahead For Fla. Waste-To-Energy Plant

Law360, New York (May 2, 2012, 6:02 PM EDT) -- Babcock & Wilcox Power Generation Group Inc. has received permission to move forward with a 95-megawatt waste-to-energy treatment plant in West Palm Beach, Fla., that will round out a two-tier renewables complex it began more than 20 years ago, the company said Wednesday.

The full notice to proceed allows the veteran renewables firm to outline the design, construction, engineering and environmental controls for the $668 million power-generating facility, to be owned by the Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County.
