Axis-Shield, CTT Settle Patent Dispute Over Homocysteine Assays

Law360 (April 29, 2005, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Anglo-Norwegian in-vitro diagnostics company Axis-Shield Plc has reached an out-of-court settlement with Competitive Technologies Inc. in their patent dispute over homocysteine test results.

Under the agreement, Axis-Shield had agreed to pay royalties governing past and future sales of homocysteine tests to CTT until patent expiry in 2007, CTT said.

The agreement covers the distributor sales of Axis-Shield labelled kits, together with the homocysteine kits sold by BioRad in the US.
