Bill Aims To Hike Penalty For Unreported Drug Trial Results

Law360, New York (May 4, 2012, 6:50 PM EDT) -- A Republican congressman unveiled a bill Thursday he said would boost the low reporting rates of clinical drug trial results by threatening to revoke federal funding for those who don't comply with reporting requirements.

Although current law requires researchers who perform many clinical trials in the U.S. to publish their results in a public database within a year, the reporting rates are dismal.
