White House Touts ACA's Efforts To Boost Nursing Numbers

Law360, New York (May 7, 2012, 6:45 PM EDT) -- More nurses at community health centers and increased training opportunities are among several benefits the Affordable Care Act provides to the nursing profession, the Obama administration said Monday as part of its latest push to tout the controversial health care reform law.

To coincide with the start of National Nurses Week, the White House released a report claiming that community health centers have added more than 3,000 nurses since 2009 — a 20 percent increase — among several benefits of the ACA.
