Kroes, Chinese Competition Regulators To Meet

Law360, New York (August 31, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In an effort to strengthen cooperation on competition issues, European Commissioner for Competition Neelie Kroes will travel to China to meet with Chinese antitrust regulators.

The commission said on Friday that Kroes would visit Beijing from Sept. 3 to Sept. 5, engaging in a series of meetings with officials from the Ministry of Commerce and the State Administration of Industry and Commerce. Kroes will also meet with members of the academic community and Chinese and European representatives of the business community.
