House Panel OKs FDA User Fees Bill Despite Sticking Points

Law360, New York (May 8, 2012, 3:39 PM EDT) -- A key House subcommittee on Tuesday easily approved a bill to reauthorize the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's user fee programs, but leaders said the two sides still had issues to hammer out before the full committee takes up the bill Thursday.

In a voice vote during a brief hearing, the House Energy and Commerce Committee's health panel approved the package that was released Friday, which includes a host of FDA reforms, with only technical changes.
