Boehner Urges Obama To Pursue More Trade Deals

Law360, New York (May 8, 2012, 3:56 PM EDT) -- U.S. House Speaker John Boehner said Tuesday he was disappointed the Obama administration hadn't capitalized on recent congressional approval of three trade pacts, saying the president should have pushed harder for additional free trade deals in their wake.

Accepting the Chairman's Award from the Council of the Americas in Washington, Boehner pointed to free trade agreements the U.S. struck with Colombia, Panama and South Korea, all of which were approved in late 2011, saying the U.S. should continue to build on those efforts.
