Federal Circuit Sends Razor Patent Battle Back To District Court

Law360 (April 30, 2005, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In a victory for the Gillette Co., the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit has sent the company’s patent infringement lawsuit against Energizer Holdings, Inc. back to Massachusetts federal court.

In a 2-1 ruling, a panel of the Washington, DC appeals court sent the case back to U.S. District Judge Patti Saris of the District of Massachusetts, who had denied a Gillette motion seeking to block sales of Energizer’s Schick Quattro four-blade razor.
