Ford Recalls 32K More Windstars Over Frame, Axle Cracks

Law360, Chicago (May 10, 2012, 7:03 PM EDT) -- Ford Motor Co. has added 23,000 Windstar minivans in Virginia to a previously issued recall for front-end fractures underneath the cars' frames and recalled another 9,400 Windstars in Puerto Rico due to a risk of rear axle cracking, a federal safety regulator said Thursday.

The National Highway Transportation Safety Administration posted notices for the recalls online after issuing a similar notice earlier this month saying Ford was adding 27,000 Windstars originally sold or currently registered in Virginia to a recall it issued in August 2010 for...
