Maytag Sues LG Over Washer Patent

Law360, New York (November 15, 2003, 12:00 AM EST) -- Appliance maker Maytag Corp sued South Korea's LG Electronics in U.S. District Court for the Northern Distrivt of Iowa in Des Moines, alleging that the company infringed on Maytag's patents for an airflow system and console panel used in clothes washers and dryers.

The lawsuit seeks an injunction to bar LG Electronics from selling the appliances, as well as compensatory damages.
