EPA Issues Final Rule In Fight Against Smog

Law360, New York (May 14, 2012, 8:23 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency on Monday issued a proposed final rule to ramp up anti-pollution measures in communities with high levels of smog in response to the D.C. Circuit's vacating of portions of a 2004 rule.

The EPA published a notice of the final rule Monday in the Federal Register, noting that the proposal, which will take effect June 13, addresses several challenges the D.C. Circuit raised in 2006 and finalizes revisions first proposed in January 2009.
