Cleary Gottlieb Snags FDIC's Top Lawyer

Law360, New York (May 14, 2012, 7:10 PM EDT) -- The top lawyer at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. is leaving the agency later this month to join Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP as an international banking and financial institutions partner in the firm's Washington office, the FDIC announced Monday.

Cleary Gottlieb said FDIC general counsel Michael Krimminger, who spent over 20 years at the agency, will advise global and U.S. banking clients on dealing with a changed regulatory landscape both abroad and in the U.S. — a landscape he helped design.
