BP, Sempra Take Wind Partnership To Hawaii

Law360, New York (May 17, 2012, 9:04 PM EDT) -- BP PLC and Sempra Energy are moving ahead with a $140 million Hawaiian wind farm, the fifth project under a strategic partnership that aims to add more than 1,000 megawatts of wind power nationwide, the companies said Thursday.

Work on the 21-megawatt Auwahi wind farm, a 50-50 joint venture of Sempra U.S. Gas & Power LLC and BP Wind Energy, is already underway on Maui. The project, one of several planned in Hawaii to help wean the state off imported oil, is expected to be online...
