Holland & Knight Leads Palm Oil Industry's EPA Fight

Law360, New York (May 18, 2012, 7:00 PM EDT) -- Backed by a major palm oil refiner and two Asian trade groups, lobbyists from Holland & Knight are pushing for palm oil to be designated as a federally approved biofuel, a distinction that could be worth millions of dollars to major producers.

The Malaysian Palm Oil Council, the Indonesian Palm Oil Board and Finnish refiner Neste Oil OYJ have tapped the firm to attack a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency draft ruling in January that excluded palm oil as a diesel additive meant to cut auto emissions,...
