CFTC Wraps Up Reporting Rule For Pre-Dodd-Frank Swaps

Law360, New York (May 18, 2012, 2:58 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission on Friday finalized rules that lay out how banks and other companies should report historical swap transactions entered into prior to the enactment of the Dodd-Frank Act's new rules for derivatives trading.

Under Dodd-Frank, the CFTC and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission were charged with establishing a new regime for standardized trading of over-the-counter derivatives, including swaps transactions.
