Coal Co. Claims Executives Stole Trade Secrets

Law360, New York (September 7, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Crown Coal & Coke Co. has launched a lawsuit against a rival coal and coke seller created by two former Crown Coal executives, claiming that the employees stole confidential information about the company's business relationships before leaving.

Crown Coal on Wednesday filed a lawsuit against Compass Point Resources LLC, whose founders, Courtenay Taplin and James Hoyt, worked as executives at Crown Coal until three months after they incorporated it.
