IBM Hires IP Guru Rivette For New Strategy Post

Law360 (May 11, 2005, 12:00 AM EDT) -- IBM has hired intellectual property guru Kevin Rivette to take the new position of vice president for intellectual-property strategy, according to a published report.

Rivette, currently an executive adviser on patent issues at the Boston Consulting Group, will begin working at IBM in June, the Wall Street Journal reported.

Rivette founded Aurigin Systems, which developed and licensed unique analytical visualization software tools to help companies such as GE, HP, Dow, Pfizer, Matsushita, and Siemens implement their own global patent strategies. He is a former patent attorney...
