Judge Blocks Sale Of Teva's Generic Famvir

Law360, New York (September 10, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- An appellate court judge ordered Israel-based drug-maker Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. to stop selling a generic version of Novartis AG’s genital herpes drug Famvir on Friday, the day it was set to launch.

Judge Alvin A. Schall of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit on Friday granted Novartis' request to stop the generic drug sales in consideration of the Swiss drug maker's motion for an injunction pending appeal.
