La. Regulators OK Entergy's Move To Regional Operator

Law360, New York (May 23, 2012, 9:07 PM EDT) -- Louisiana regulators on Wednesday approved requests by two Entergy Corp. units to join the Midwest Independent Transmission System Operator Inc., bringing the company closer to giving the grid operator control of all its transmission systems.

The Louisiana Public Service Commission voted unanimously to allow Entergy Louisiana LLC and Entergy Gulf States Louisiana LLC to transfer functional control of their transmission facilities to MISO, the regional transmission organization that handles high-voltage transmission in 11 states and one Canadian province.
