Doctors Groups Seek To School House On Medicare Pay Fix

Law360, New York (May 25, 2012, 7:19 PM EDT) -- The current Medicare physician payment system, which both political parties want to permanently repeal, should be replaced by some of the same innovative payment systems currently being tested under the health care law, several powerful doctors' groups told the U.S. House of Representatives on Friday.

The House Ways and Means Committee, which oversees Medicare, asked doctors last month to weigh in on what sorts of payment methods could be used instead of the much-maligned sustainable growth rate.
