GOP House Leader Seeks June Vote On Device Tax Repeal

Law360, New York (May 25, 2012, 4:28 PM EDT) -- The No. 2 Republican in the U.S. House wants the Republican-controlled chamber to vote on a bill repealing the medical device tax mandated by the health care reform law as early as the first week in June, according to a Congressional memo published Friday.

House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, R-Va. said in the memo that he expects a vote on Rep. Erik Paulsen’s, R-Minn., bill repealing the tax, as well as Kansas Republican Rep. Lynn Jenkins’ bill repealing a ban on using tax-exempt medical savings accounts...
