Judge Mulls Plaintiffs' Bid To Alter Mirapex Suit

Law360, New York (September 11, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A U.S. magistrate judge has been tapped to consider whether the plaintiffs involved in the Mirapex multidistrict litigation should be allowed to amend their complaint to include punitive damages, with the group seeking additional compensation for the compulsive gambling addiction that the drug allegedly causes.

On Monday, U.S. Magistrate Judge Franklin Noel held a hearing to consider the plaintiffs' motion to alter the complaint, with an order on the matter to be issued shortly in the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota.
