House Handily Approves Sprawling FDA Reform Bill

Law360, New York (May 30, 2012, 7:57 PM EDT) -- The House of Representatives on Wednesday easily passed, in a vote of 387 to 5, its version of a bill to reauthorize the Food and Drug Administration's user fee programs and make a slew of changes affecting market exclusivity, medical device safety and drug importation.

The passage follows a nearly unanimous vote in the Senate last week to approve its version of the legislation. The differences between the House and Senate bills now must be worked out in conference between the houses before a final bill...
