NRC Floats Guidelines To Ease Post-Fukushima Orders

Law360, New York (May 31, 2012, 8:48 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission on Thursday floated draft guidelines to help the operators of the nation's 104 nuclear power plants comply with safety measures issued following the disaster at Japan's Fukushima Daiichi plant last year.

The commission said the guidelines were necessary to ensure that nuclear operators properly implemented three key orders the NRC recently rolled out in response to lessons learned from the accident.
